In the first two sessions we learned if you want to fail you blame someone else for shortfalls and do not accept responsibility. The second part states to guarantee failure is to hold grudges and unforgiveness.
There’s more-With this session you guarantee failure by refusing to do what you do not get paid for. With this attitude you sabatoge your own future. You think,if I only concentrate on doing what I get paid for I won’t be wasting my time on meaningless things and get there faster. The fact is the only place you will get faster is failure.
Two examples: working for someone else
1. I would hire and train my employees for a particular job or position. With each position I would give them a job discription for that position. However as we grow or in the course of doing business I have to ask them to do something outside their job discription. When I get the answer that is not in my discription and I don’t get paid for that, I just say ok. However from that day I start looking for someone to replace them and certainly not consider them for a raise or promotion. The statement tells me they only care for their own benefit and not the interest of the company and cannot be dependendable. I start a record of all statements or indications of their refusal to do what is asked. I never ask anything not within their capabilities. When annual review comes, no raise.
2. Self Employed- that attitude will definitely destroy them. The reason is that a self employed person spends the majority of time doing things you don’t receive pay for but necessary for success.
Remember what I am about to say and you can never go wrong.
The person that refuses to do what they do not get paid to do will NEVER get paid for more than what they do.
The person who consitantly does more then they paid to do will eventually get paid for more than what they do.
Think about it. I you have an employee that consistently does more then they get paid, that is the one that will get the raises and they are the ones that will receive the promotions.
That shows team work and shows that your employee is there to help your business succeed at their own sacrifice.
If we were to achieve anything in life we must be willing to sacrifice.
This is why the Bible tells us in order for us to receive we must first be willing to give.
Hopefully this is of help
Blessings and Success
