I’ve tried that before and it doesn’t work.
Being that you have tried it before and it didn’t work may be because the methods or approach was wrong and not the vision.
The Lord says without vision people perish.
When we take the first step in fulfilling a vision we will encounter problems.
We need to understand that the vision is apparently something that is a challenge and may have been tried by many others unsuccessfully. Down in Fort Meyers is located the Thomas Edison homestead. He was asked one time why he did not get discouraged in trying to invent the light bulb when he failed 1,000 times? His response was, [I didn’t fail 1,000 times I found 1,000 ways it didn’t work.]
The reason that success or prosperity eludes so many is because that when Persue their dream or vision and encounter not one but several obstacles they give up and tell themselves perhaps the vision was wrong or I must not be the one to accomplish this vision or perhaps believing, it can’t be done. You accept failure.
We may fail many times at many things but we NEVER become a failure until we GIVE UP.
So the best way to succeed and not fail is, NEVER GIVE UP. There is nothing that is impossible. If you belong to the Lord and the vision is from Him, He will help you find a way. The impossible just takes a little longer.
When we encounter a problem or obstacle we need to look at it as a good thing. Why, because the seed to the solution to every problem is found within the problem itself. We have a tenancy to look outside the problem for the solution and we will never find it there. We are tempted to walk away from the problem and hoping it goes away. Instead we need to move right toward the problem, confront it and be determined in finding that seed.
When we find it the seed will grow the solution.it will carry you to the next step.
When that happens we can celebrate with caution because when we take another step beyond we will encounter another problem.
Think of it this way.
Imagine that you are standing at the bottom of a staircase. You look up and see the vision or goal at the top of that staircase. There are many steps to get to the goal. You cannot expect to jump up all those steps. You realize that you can get to the top by taking one step at a time. So, go ahead, take that first step. When you take it you will encounter a problem to solve. Only when you solve that problem can you take the next step. So you solve that problem, that gives you the authority to moving up one more step. Guess what! You encounter another problem, the same with each step. Never look back to where you have been but keep your eyes on the prize at the top.
So it is in our walk with the Lord. Our ultimate prize is eternal life in heaven. We will encounter problems to conquer along the way.
Don’t reject them, expect them. But the prize is worth it.
Just remember NEVER GIVE UP. Keep the faith, keep moving forward. We may get knocked off our feet, but we don’t have to stay there. Get back up, get back on the staircase, take another step forward and you will receive the prize of His high calling.
A closed mind is saying, I can’t do this and we will remain where we are now year after year until we make up your mind to remove the obstacles placed before us. We may not be able to do it but God can. Trust in Him, He Never Fails.
